5 Weird Ways To Help You Sleep

There are so many typical ways that you can Google about how to sleep better (we have heard it all) - but let's talk about these weird ways that have helped me that may help you. These aren't science-based and are purely of my own making. So read with a grain or salt and pinch of humor.

Watch videos of people or animals yawning.

Believe it when people say that yawning is contagious - this will get you in the mood to snooze in no time!

Listen to something very boring.

There are podcasts dedicated to insomniac where the host reads random stories in a droning voice. I like this way better than rainforest sounds or white noise which actually spooks me out. If you are into podcasts for insomniacs, check more out here! But I guess, even just the news works.

Visualize this high-contrast scenario.

Imagine you are somewhere reallyyy hot and uncomfortable. You are parched and bored - but super uncomfortable. The key is to really imagine and "feel" the yucky feeling. Suddenly, out of nowhere, you find a room with some air-conditioning and miraculously a comfy water bed. Imagine the extreme contrast of feelings - and enjoy the coolness on your neck and forehead - and the bounciness of the bed.

Make yourself into a pillow hotdog.

Collect as many pillows as you can find and bolster yourself between them.

Twist your body.

Do a BIGGGG spinal stretch on the bed (lay face up on your bed and bring one leg across your body as far as you can) - it releases the tension in the body and feels so relaxing. Plus points when you hear some spinal cracks.
